The 1977 Cessna 172N registered to the Royal Queensland Aeroclub crashed in a field 10 km NNW of Beaudesert QLD, approximately 50 Km inland from the Gold Coast. The accident occurred at approximately 2pm local time. The aircraft was extensively damaged, but the pilot survived with only a laceration and fractured leg.
