The helicopter crashed into a lake about 80 km NE of Ottawa, presumably on Sunday 18th November 2012 (lilnked story does not specify).

The pilot was about to land next to the lake to meet his brother when he was apparently blinded by the low sun and crashed into the water. The brother paddled to the scene in a kayak and rescued the pilot, who survived with minor injuries.
