One dead in Utah highway landing of Cessna 172

Thursday 27th June 2013 – Birdseye, Utah County, Utah USA:

The pilot is in a critical condition and passenger dead after a Cessna 172 struck a power line on approach to a road during an emergency landing. The pilot had declared a mayday, reporting smoke in the cockpit and was attempting to land on US Highway 89, south of Birdseye.
