A helicopter conducting power line inspections for NYSEG has apparently struck a power line and crashed near the Chemung River in Corning NY. Two men on board the helicopter died at the scene - the helicopter was consumed by fire. The helicopter was operated by a third party and contracted to NYSEG.

FAA attended the scene.
