Yak 52 Crashes in NZ - two dead.

A Yak 52 tandem seat monoplane has crashed to the NW of Palmerston North on New Zealands North Island.

The aircraft, made by Romanian company Aerostar came down in a park near the small town of Fielding at about 10:46 am Monday 23rd January 2012.

Evidently the aircraft crashed at high speed and/or high rate of descent and the fragmented aircraft is partially buried in the park grounds.
