Another light aircraft has crashed onto a major highway in the USA - this time in New Hampshire on the I-93 on Thursday October 25th 2012.The Beechcraft Bonanza single engine aircraft had taken off from Nashua Airport (known as Boire Field) approximately 20 miles to the SSW and was enroute to Laconia a further 30 miles to the North. The aircraft reportedly impacted a light pole whilst travelling south adjacent to the I-93 northbound lane - at which time a wing detached and the aircraft crashed onto the highway turnpike, killing both elderly occupants. Of note is that the aircraft was heading in the reciprocal direction to the original journey, indicating that there was may have been some ad-hoc maneuvering prior to the crash. Two attached maps show the departure and approximate crash location.
