Nigerian Governor critical after plane crash

Thursday 25th October, approximately 1720 hrs local West African time (UTC +1):

Governor Danbaba Danfulani Suntai of Taraba State has been critically injured after the turbine-powered Cessna 208 Caravan he was piloting crashed. It is apparent that the aircraft was on approach to the airfield in the late afternoon with the strip in sight when it lost contact with air traffic control.
