Sunday 23rd June 2013 – Boulder, Colorado:

Police reported that the single engine aircraft (one source reporting it as a Beechcraft A45) came down short of the Boulder City Municipal Airport, near the U.S. Highway 95 and 93 junction.

The crash occurred around 2:45 PM local time as the aircraft was attempting an emergency landing after reporting an engine failure.

The A45 was also known as the T34 Mentor – a military trainer.
